In 2005, a forest fire burned 12.000 ha during 4 days in Guadalajara, Spain. Two years after, the story is about people adjusting to a life without forest. For some, this route has not been easy. The people featured in this multimedia project have been working all their life in the forest so, what does it take to begin all over again? How does one cope with the loss of the forest and their livelihoods?
Photojournalist Inigo Alcaniz documents the continuous struggles some people face as they adjust to a life after fire.
